Life Skills Development

Life Skill Development

Mastering day-to-day life skills is key to achieving greater confidence, independence and control over your life. But learning abilities like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and community access can be challenging for some people with disabilities.

At Davidson Disability Care and Accommodation Services, our Life Skills Development services provide personalized training and support to help you build your capabilities over time.

With one-on-one assistance from our caring, patient instructors, we help you establish goals tailored to your needs and interests. Then we work alongside you to develop essential domestic and community living skills such as:

  • Personal grooming and hygiene
  • Household cleaning and maintenance
  • Meal preparation and nutrition
  • Using community spaces like libraries, parks, shops
  • Money management
  • Public transit and community mobility
  • Social communication and relationship abilities

Our Life Skills Development services aim to build your confidence and self-reliance, so you can enjoy greater independence and freedom in your daily life.
